Using a bread knife, slice the baguette in thin slices, no thicker than a pinkie finger. You can cut it on the diagonal if you'd like a larger surface area for your crostini.
Place the slices close together but not overlapping on a baking sheet covered with a baking mat or parchment paper.
Brush the bread slices with the olive oil You could also use a garlic infused olive oil for extra flavor. Sprinkle with a tiny bit of salt.
Bake for 14 minutes. Once they are done, leave them on the baking pan to cool.
When completely cool, store in a large airtight container for up to a week.
