Trina's Pimento Cheese

Try this really strange version of pimento cheese that originated from Charleston and includes a special ingredient you would never expect.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 4 ounce jar chopped pimientos drained
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 12 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Durkee sauce
  • 3 tbsp Grand Marnier liqueur
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese grated

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except the cheese in a large mixing bowl. 
  • Add the cheese and mix until well blended. Refrigerate overnight. 
  • Serve with crackers, slices of French bread, or as a stuffing for celery stalks.
