These are hot off the shelves — or cold off of the shelves rather, as they come from the freezer section of the store. But Morningstar Farms has come out with a new line of (lol) Veggitizers! These are meant to be hip, meatless versions of all the cool food in the freezer aisle that just happen to be vegan.
If you used to love pizza bites back in the day, then you'll enjoy these a lot. I dumped about half of the bag in the air fryer and used this convection oven to air fryer conversion formula (math even I can do!) to air fry them for 8 minutes at 400 F. I did not bother to flip them halfway through and they still turned out fine. Does anyone actually flip things halfway through the cooking process? If it was something large I might, but I am not about to waste a ton of cooking heat using tongs to flip 10 little nuggies. They were deliciously crisp on all sides, and life went on.
One of the serving suggestions that should be included on the bag but is not is the need for marinara sauce! They are a bit on the dry side without a dunk in your favorite red sauce. I bet even alfredo sauce or pesto would do the trick too if it's properly warmed up.

I wish these were a little larger so they could hold more of the pizza-y goodness within. That's the only reason it gets 4 hearts instead of 5. And if the package included a frozen package of marinara sauce for dipping, it would only make it better. No, two packages of frozen marinara, because half the bag at a time is a perfect afternoon snack size. It claims there are three servings in there but I disagree — it's two servings.
