June Roundup

It definitely went from June 1 to June 30 in the blink of an eye! Did June even happen? I'm starting to doubt it. I hope this doesn't set the tone for the rest of the summer because while I have been totally enjoying it, it does feel like it's zipping by. Also I love my new Cupshe once piece swimsuit so much.

If you missed my earlier post, I've decided to change how I am posting to focus more on quality than quantity. That goes for photos too. I have started re-learning how to use manual mode on my Panasonic Lumix GX85 mirrorless camera (which I love, btw). It's going pretty well, though every time I try a new thing I have to slow way down, pull out the manual, and sometimes watch a Youtube video.

House Updates

So yeah, we had a huge unexpected expense pop up. Our whole HVAC unit had to be replaced because the motherboard died and the capacitor was on its last legs too. So we bit the bullet and got everything installed by Airwaves, by our friend Eric! It's nice using your friends for things like this because you know they won't screw you over. So if you need an HVAC repair or replacement, give them a call, tell them I sentcha.

Ironically this news came ONE DAY after I hired a bathroom designer to design the bathroom I wanted to re-do this winter! AGHHHH. Since materials are on great backorder and contractors are booked out so far in advance I thought I'd go ahead and get it designed so I could order materials to have on hand. Sadly, unless I get a new job with a 10k or more raise, this bathroom project may get pushed back. Luckily, I have a gorgeous design done by a nearby neighbor and can get started whenever we replenish our home improvement funds.

The good news is, now the dreaded day of when the AC unit dies is behind us. AND it's going to make out air even cleaner than before because we got all new ductwork too, plus it's a much higher efficiency and will make our energy use even less. You just have to take the good with the less good, you know?

But look at my zinnias! They are POPPIN'!
