June Roundup

Well, there goes the first half of 2020, now that we're doing the June roundup! That was... fast. No, slow? It really went back and forth, hour by hour, some days there, as to if I felt okay or not, and it seems like a lot of people felt the same way too. In some ways it feels like I was just looking back at 2019.

I didn't post much else this month other than recipes, as we all kind of stopped at the beginning of the month to watch and/or participate in the BLM movement, where things got a little realer than we ever imagined close to home.

I'm also are doing some work around the house, like zooming through my 2020 house goals, which I'll have more on tomorrow. And is anyone else going through a major clean-purge phase 2.0? I'm coining it "quarancleaning". I went a little nuts at the end of March, and now I'm doing it again.

This time I've put a moratorium on starting any new projects until the previous ones I've written on my list are done. This is mostly boring stuff like re-painting the windowsill the dogs have torn up over the years, fixing the stove leg so its even (it's like, 2 degrees sloped back which is so annoying when trying to pan fry stuff!), and straightening out a few loose cabinet doors. Because that's the world now — shrunken down to the home, since South Carolinians stupidly equate mask-wearing with intense oppression) and COVID-19 cases are skyrocketing.
