Greening Up The Carport

August 28, 2017 by April

Sometimes when I walk through big craft stores that have a faux plant section, I feel like I'm in a great aunt's house, especially when I see the fake grape bunches. But that doesn't mean that I'm too good for non-live plants. I love them! I have a penchant for killing succulents of all things, so I have a few fake succulents in small pots around the house. I also have been looking for a bigger faux plant to put under our carport to make it look more tropical and relaxing. I feel bad putting real plants under there since there isn't a ton of light, but I still wanted it to look lush. So when I partnered with PermaLeaf.com I was excited to see their options. I chose a Dracaena, a tree native to Asia and Africa.

The tree is totally put together when they ship it. Just take the plastic off and fluff it a bit. Here's the before fluffing:

And here's it's final resting place until the weather gets unpleasant, then it'll come inside to hang out so we can enjoy it when it's too cold to be outside. I'm enjoying it hanging out by the Adirondack chair. I do need to fluff it out more, but I'm also letting gravity do it's job here also.

PermaLeaf sent me this tree but all opinions expressed here are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that support this blog!
