Cafe Con Leché

Spice up your morning coffee by making it a café con leche, spiked with a cinnamon brown sugar syrup, ice, and a glug of milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • coffee
  • milk

Instructions

  • Prepare the coffee in your preferred method and let cool.
  • Prepare the syrup by bringing the water, brown sugar, and cinnamon to a boil. Remove from heat as soon as it boils.
  • Set aside to cool.
  • To make, put 1-2 tablespoons of syrup in the bottom of a pint glass. Pour in the coffee, but leave room for ice and milk.
  • Add enough ice to almost fill the glass, then top with milk.
  • Keep the remaining syrup in the fridge for future café con leches.
