So January was a little light on the events, everyone was staying inside and keeping warm and perhaps also trying to not lighten their wallets any more than necessary after the holidays. But bring on the month of love and of only 28 days and we’re back to packing the calendar, and oddly, its with a lot of “pairing” events. Coincidence? We think not!
Feb 2 – Super Bowl day, obviously! Stock up on all of the chips and crackers you could ever want while they are on sale!
Feb 3– Wine and chocolate tasting at First Citizens Cafe on Main Street, 5 p.m. Free but must RSVP!
Feb 5 – Beer and Chocolate Pairings with SC Girls Pint Out! Beer? YES! Chocolate? YES! Learn the intricacies of pairing the two from Johnny Battles, the man behind Sweeteeth Chocolates at Keg Cowboy in Lexington, 7 p.m.
Feb 7 – Arts & Draughts at the Columbia Museum of Art. 7 p.m., $8 for non-members.
Feb 10 – February Harvest Dinner, meet the Bourbon team! At City Roots, $60.
Feb 11 – How to Start A Food Business with David Roberts, at the Richland County Public Library Main Branch, 6:30 p.m., free.
Feb 13 – Coffee and chocolate tasting at First Citizens Cafe on Main Street, 11 a.m. Must RSVP.
Feb 15– Massage Your Mate workshop at Sun Spirit Yoga Wellness, 2 p.m., $49 or $75.
Feb 15 – Do you REALLY REALLY want to learn the art of outdoor BBQ cooking with a class? Make an investment with this one. Starts at 8 a.m., $275.
Feb 19 – Paint & Pint with SC Girls Pint Out, Palmetto Paint & Pour in Irmo, 6:30 p.m. Bring a 22 oz bottle to share while we paint. True story, last time I was out there I was the only lady in the room with a beer- a tallboy Miller Lite. Truly classy. $25, limited to the first 15 ticket buyers.
More events may be added as February goes on so check back periodically for updates!
