July 4– Sweat it out at the annual Lexington County Peach Festival in Gilbert, an all-American celebration of the sweet, fuzzy orbs. Favorite peach offerings include peach tea, peach slushes, peach pie, peach, peaches just, and more.

July 6 – Soda City remains famously hot hot hot, so go early, beat the heat, get a Chill Out Pop from Doug! 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Main St in downtown Columbia.

July 15 – Learn to Garden Like A Master (GLAM) at the Lexington County Public Library, Lexington branch. This month’s focus is tomatoes. 803-785-2600 for more details.

July 16 – It’s blueberry season, how are you going to get as many of these antioxidant rich jewels in your diet as possible? Learn how with K. Shavo Nutrition Consulting as she demonstrates at Let’s Cook! Cost is $35. If you want to feel empowered instead of overwhelmed by navigating the nutritional waters, take a class with Katherine!

July 20 – the Palmetto Tasty Tomato Festival is back for the 4th time to celebrate the many varieties of the fruit disguised as a vegetable and its many colors and tastes. There are tons of volunteer shifts if you want to get involved!

July 22 – “Make Your Own Bacon” Workshop At Motor Supply Co. Bistro Executive Chef Tim Peters will walk through the creation of the charcuterie while discussing culinary jargon at Motor Supply.

July 25Palmetto Palate, sponsored by the SC Farm Bureau Federation is an evening of chefs paired with local ingredients for “an unbelievable evening!” $50 per person, 6-9 p.m. at 701 Whaley.
