Yesterday I started a grocery list and meal plan, intending to finish it and go to the store. Around midday I realized we had plenty of food to prepare, enough milk and creamer to get us through most of the week, and enough breakfast foods to keep me from having to munch on hodgepodge in the morning so going to the store fell off the radar completely.
This week’s meal plan is mostly simplicity: burritos, spaghetti, and probably tons and TONS of salads based on the projected box contents for week one of my Pinckney’s Produce CSA share! I’m super excited about it, and the best part is that if I don’t make it over to my drop site in time, my mom works in the same building so she agreed to drop them off at my house, which is right around the corner from her office. Woohoo!
Since I’m not yet sure how much my box will yield I thought it best to hold off on grocery time until Wednesday afternoon at least. The best part of all of that? SAVING MONEYYY! The less trips to the grocery store, the better.
This is more of a rambling update post more than anything of real value. Things have been up and down with me lately, a real rollercoaster. I’ve got a busy week full of fun stuff coming up, had a busy week full of fun stuff behind me, and I’m trying to find some balance in my life, in various ways, as you may have been able to tell from last week’s post.
So, answer me some questions. Let’s have a conversation here.
Are you part of a CSA? Which one, how do you like it?
How do you keep your emotions even-keel?
