I am so excited for this weekend to commence! Today is jam packed and Saturday will be packed with jams! Once I get off work it’s time to rush home and grab a snack, a change of clothes and my yoga mat to head to Sun Spirit Yoga Wellness for a good limbering hour that should be the perfect light and limbering workout before tomorrow. What happens tomorrow? Keep reading!
After yoga I am going to rush back home for another snack and another change of clothes and back out the door to see Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at Workshop Theatre with my ladies! This is opening night for this Tennessee Williams classic that I have never seen, so if you want to check it out too there is still plenty of time. After the play I am going to depart from my friends to go home for a good, long sleep because I need to rest up really good for the Annual Get to the Green 5k as a refreshing precursor to the St. Patrick’s Day festival in Five Points! Wearing a crazy costume is part of the tradition, but I don’t know what in the world I’ll wear other than my green tank top. Maybe I’ll just get inspiration here for next year’s race.

I am super excited for the festival because last time I went I was a wee 20 year old who couldn’t partake in the green beer. And I ended up screaming at someone in the street AND losing my friend I went with. She just disappeared, and by 8 p.m. I was tired of looking for her/calling her and had to wish on a star that she was okay and went home.
After all of that excitement from running, having a few green beers, going back and forth between music at the festival and the home of a friend who lives just a few blocks from Five Points (and maybe napping if I am lucky!) I am definitely going to turn in early Saturday, and spend Sunday my favorite way: going to the grocery store then cooking from my weekly meal plan.
